It’s quite an experience, and is quite magical.

The use of landscapes creates a space in the room, and entrance into another world, and the viewer goes into it instantly.

It is as if the eye leads the mind and imagination into another place and even time.
And it is the place and time that the artist created.
This is why landscapes, gardens and vistas are a favorite form of art since Renaissance times.
And in fact, the use of background landscapes have been used in that time to create a feeling of vast space behind the subject that is in the foreground.
In direct landscape works, the work itself is the portal to the land in the work itself.
The above work makes ingenious use of the subtle differences in the semi impressionistic foliage in contrast to the glass like water.
The light is playful and illuminates the scene most beautifully.
The colors are also wonderful and perfectly distributes the warmer colors in a most balanced way through the piece including the pink reflections on the water.

In this landscape art work Tranquility tapestry we see a most beautiful balance of color and composition.
The scene literally takes you into a world of tranquility, as you feel the tall trees protecting you and rustling gently overhead.
We mention the colors a moment ago.
Well, the tranquil colors of green are beautifully balanced by browns and earth tones which is very important to create a work that is balanced in this respect.
Tonally, the work is also balanced with a blend of light and shade.
Finally, the atmosphere in the piece is influenced by the warm hued clouds above.

This landscape tapestry is a verdure style tapestry where elements of nature are depicted in harmony with man made elements as well as objects of everyday life.
This work shows the French fascination with Oriental culture brought back from explorers.
Here we see the harvest of pineapples in an oriental style estate, where exotic buildings and architecture can be seen.
The ingenious use of foreground and background leads the viewer into this exotic world, with gorgeous lands and atmospheric clouds.
This work is simply beautiful and stirs the senses as well as the imagination, as the viewer is instantly transported in time and space.

In this tapestry we see a scene which can be out of a coastal town in the Mediterranean summer.
The light illuminates this scene as if from a beacon of light from above to the right of the viewer.
And we are transported into this scene.
And the scene shows a coastal view of cliff faces with the sea, and before this a lookout where a balcony and urns with flowers decorate the scene.
So as you can see, landscapes offer the senses as well as the imagination a place to go to and explore.
They are a portal to a place and time where the artist has captured for the viewer to see and experience.
