The Tree of Life is a symbol of nature and life, and as such has become a most popular subject for decoration.
Since made popular by Morris and Co, the Tree of Life has been a subject for tapestries for years.
We have added new works in the category of Tree of Life tapestries.
These tree of life wall hangings have been interpreted in many ways, and in many themes even, and in each of them, the emphasis of the work is in showing this great symbol of natural life, as we have mentioned in a previous blog post on tree of life tapestries.
In these works, we see the beauty and life giving forces of nature in many ways.

Here we see a tree of life in rich reds and crimson, with colors of gold, pinks and olive greens contrasting beautifully.
The curving branches reach to the sky in this Garden of Eden, which according to some is the garden where the Tree of Life resides.
While the tapestries of William Morris of the tree of life were one of the earlier works which made the tree of life more well known, now many modern artists are producing their version of this tree.
Here’s another new Tree of Life tapestry:

This is a most unique version of the Tree of Life with a rendition from the sea.
If you love the sea and its vast beauty, then this is for you to have a look at.
Here we see star fish, jelly fish, coral and other marine life surrounding a sea coral plant, to represent the tree of life in water or sea form.
There is even a sea themed border which accompanies the work most beautifully.
The tree is a  symbol of life, so why not the sea or ocean?
Here’s a new version of the Tree of Life by Simon Bull.

Here we see the tree of life in its fragrant color.
The leaves are on the tree as well as in the air, to celebrate the beauty and power of nature.
Here’s another Tree of Life, this time by Gustav Klimt:

This Tree of Life based on the work of Gustav Klimt, is based on the Stoclet Frieze mosaic series created in 1905-1911, for the Stoclet Palace in Brussels, Belgium.
The Stoclet Palace was the product of architect Josef Hoffman, and commissioned by art collector Adolphe Stoclet, and is considered one of the most luxurious mansions of the 20th century.
Here we see a tree with the characteristic curving branches of Klimt’s trees, with the ever present owl, and the use of geometric shapes and pattern.
These are just some of the new tree of life wall hangings in the newest styles.
