In this Alexander the Great tapestry, we see Alexander the Great on horseback, in the war with Darius II. Alexander the Great, or Alexander III of Macedon (356-323 BC), from ancient Greece. He was ruler of one of the largest empires of the world by age thirty from Greece to the Himalayas. Here we see Alexander defeating the Persians in 334 BC at age 22. The Persians used chariots on flat ground, which was their tactic. However, Alexander pursued them to rocky ground, which they used to their advantage. This work shows Alexander in battle, in beautiful mosaic like detail. This Alexander the Great tapestry is backed with lining and tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
