Apollo II tapestry depicts a scene of Apollo among the Muses, resting on Heiicon. The work is based on the original design by Bernard van Orley, a Flemish Renaissance painter (1487 - 1541). One of six tapestries in the Triumph of Apollo series, originally woven in the workshops of Leyniers in the 18th century, this work celebrates the classical compositions where Roman and Greek gods. The party is seen playing music on harp and flute, on the rocky mountainside. This Apollo II tapestry is backed with lining and tunnel for easy hanging.
