This August Afternoon tapestry shows the work of artist George Botich. After graduating from the Art Institute of Chicago, Botich travelled through Europe including Paris and the Greek Islands. The works of Botich have been inspired by the cityscape of Paris and an artistic moment clicked for him when he saw a particular building in a beautiful light. Here in this work we see Cafe Louis Philippe, a cafe in the Parisian street life. Cafes full of charm are an integral part of social life in Paris, and here we see a cafe in dappled light from the sun through the tree closeby. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
