Be not afraid

Born in 1958 in a rural farm in Idaho, Greg Olsen has dedicated himself to art since he was a small boy. His parents quickly recognized his talent and his studies in high school and at Utah State University cemented his relationship not only with his art, but also with God. His Biblical paintings hang in religious temples in 20 different countries around the globe. Regardless of the work before him, Olsen approaches it with boundless imagination of what is possible. Typical of his work is “Be not afraid”. Here, Christ helps two children cross the raging torrents of a river. He holds the one in his arm, while pulling the other to safety. “Be not afraid” is often seen as a metaphor for Christianity itself and Olsen brings it to life masterfully. This tapestry is lined and has tabs for easy hanging.
