Bouquet et Architecture

In this tapestry 'Bouquet Et Architecture' we see an abundant wreath of flowers with a red cape overflowing from a balcony. Flowers have been used by the French, Italians and Dutch artists as a main focus of subject matter for tapestries for centuries, and the opulent Renaissance in Italy is the inspiration for this work. In this scene we see a brilliantly lit bouquet including a pink rose branches away from the main bunch on the balcony itself. The scene is of flowers in a palatial building and as such the architecture of the environment is shown to great effect. It is complete with a regal border to frame the work wonderfully. This tapestry is backed with a lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
