The Bruges Crest represents the coat of arms of a family in Bruges, Belgium, known as the De Negara family. Its origins are from the year 1550, when the original tapestry was woven by Aernour van Loo for this family of Basque Spanish origin. The highly regal designs on the shield and the acanthuses along with a hat of feathers are used to create a grand effect of intricacy and regality in this particular tapestry. Bruges Crest tapestry is unlined and is finished with a tunnel for ease of hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
