This Chateau Bellevue IV tapestry shows the grand grounds of Versailles based on the “Royal Residences” from the 17th century. The originals were made at the Gobelins Tapestry Manufactory for King Louis XIV, and showed life in the palaces of royalty. Here in this verdure chateau grand tapestry we see a balcony view of the palace gardens and woods, with a red drape and violin in the balcony, and flowers decorating the columns. In the gardens are horsemen and a group of nobles riding in the wood clearing surrounded by tall trees, towards the chateau in the distance. This large tapestry "Chateau Bellevue IV" is backed with a lining and has a rod pocket for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
