Comedia Dell'Arte tapestry shows a scene of masked actors posing in their costumes. The Commedia Dell'Arte was a type of theatre originating from a6th century Italy where improvisations from sketches and scenarios began. Actors used outdoor setting and props for the set and used some stereotyped characters as well such as the servant Arlecchino, the high class lover Innamorati, older wealthy man Pantalone and head of the household Il Dottore.
