Here in December Botanical tapestry, the beautiful flowers of early winter are seen. The work of British botanist Robert Furber, this tapestry is part of a series of 12, based on his most famous work, Twelve Months of Flowers. Originally created in 1730, this work detailed 30 species of flowers per month, showing the flowers and foliage that were in bloom for that time of year. Here we see the flowers in a variety of colors and shapes of early winter. The bouquet is arranged in an ornate classic Greek or Roman themed vase. The emblem states December at the base, as are the names of each species of flower. This wall art is beautiful as well as a botanical marvel in itself. December Botanical tapestry has a lining and a rod tunnel for easy hanging. Note: Tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are not included in the price.
