This grand medieval tapestry "Emperor Maximilien" shows a scene of the King riding through the forests of Brussels. Based on the original Maximilien tapestries woven between 1499 and 1512, this work shows a scene from the Hunts of Maximilian tapestries, in Late Gothic style, attributed to Bernard van Orley. The Hunts of Maximilian series shows each month of the year, and here see the King on a stag hunt, in the forest, with the royal palaces and the old town of Brussels in the background. This piece shows the distinctive Gothic style, evident throughout this piece. Full of incredible beauty, this medieval themed tapestry "Emperor Maximilien" is backed with a lining and has a rod pocket for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod, tassels, and accessories, are not included in the price.
