Known for his beautiful works of flora, Weinmann (1683 - 1741), was a German apothecary or medical person who produces tinctures with medicinal properties, as well as botanical artist. His famous work Phytanthoza iconographia showcased thousands of plants in 8 folios. Here in this piece, we see several unusual plants including lilypads, as well as their various stages of development, including their root structures.
