This design "Folio II" is a print on linen/cotton blend fabric.
Here in "Folio II" we see the superb work of botanical artist Johann Weinmann, from the 18th century. Weinman produced the famous work "Phytanthoza iconographia" which illustrated thousands of plants in 8 folios of works. This publication was a ground breaking work in its accuracy and beauty. Weinmann (1683-1741) showed much technique in his color plates, and here we see a gorgeously rendered assortment of prickly plant, foliage with seed pods, fruit and flowers. Each of the flora are numbered and labeled with calligraphy. The forms and details of each leaf and branch can be seen. This work is a lovely testament the beauty of the works of Weinmann.
