This Oriental tapestry "Garden Ensemble" is from the work of contemporary artist Don Li-Leger. In this piece we see am abstract design with elements from nature with blocks of bold color. The style of Li-Leger has been called "Asian fusion". His pieces are inspired by Asian elements which began when he used woodblocking to create large areas of solid color. The colors here are representative of the colors that represent health, luck and wealth in Asian culture, namely the greens, reds and gold. Here we see his use of color blocking together with bamboo and plant elements, to create an abstract scene that balances the colors which transitions from deep reds and oranges to aquas and greens. This Oriental tapestry "Garden Ensemble" is backed with a lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
