A delightful medieval tapestry "Gift of the Heart" showing a lady reciving a gift from a gentleman. The beauty of this work is that the colors are rich yet totally blend together beautifully to create a scene filled with color and pattern. The gracious lady and her man are dressed in royal robes and headgear suggestive of nobility. The fanciful woods closeby are in a style reminiscent of classic medieval style where natural objects are stylized for effect and for aesthetic scintillation. Here the woods are also accompanied by tall eared rabbits, a favorite subject of medieval art, as well as a hawk, and dog which presumably belongs to the lady. This is a cortship scene in medieval style at it's most pristine form in terms of art, set in a natural scene. Flowers are also blooming in the scene including roses to symbolise ardent love. This tapestry "Gift of the Heart" is lined and has a tunnel for easy hanging and installation.
