This floral handwoven tapestry shows an ancient urn overflowing with fruit. Both the blossoms and fruit can be seen in the urn which rests on a pedestal, and the urn is near a red drape, a symbol of luxury and beauty in 17th and 18th century French art. Here in this piece we see the fruit plant wrapping around the pedestal itself, to decorate the entire scene with fruit, flowers and foliage. Like its companion piece Draped Floral Urn, this piece is a celebration of the abundance and beauty of nature. This hand-woven tapestry "Draped Fruited Urn" comes unlined, and has a rod pocket for easy hanging.
