In this glorious piece, "Lost Cottage" hand woven tapestry, we see a superb forest scene. The piece is a testament to the beauty of the verdure of landscape tapestry scenes created by the Aubusson tapestry and Flemish tapestry makers of the 17th century. Here we see the gorgeous forest, with a fallen tree in the foreground, to show the forms of the timber, accompanied by foliage in wonderful, stylized detail, a hallmark of these true verdures. In the midground we see a cascading river flowing down the countryside, and in the distance, we see hills. This hand-woven tapestry "Lost Cottage" comes unlined, and has a rod pocket for easy hanging.
