A gorgeously detailed medieval tapestry showing the Hunt for Maximilian. The original was designed by Jean Baptiste Mozin from the Gobelins Manufacture in France in 1693. Nobility, their horse and their hounds are all out in the search for Maximilian in the foreground. In the background we see the medieval city and in between to tie the piece together trees and foliage and the beauty of nature. In a sepia tone which suits the composition and the medieval nature of this tapestry, this work is a prime example of a superbly detailed and beautiful piece of art that tapestries became in the medieval period. Note: rod and tassels pictured are not included. This medieval art tapestry "Hunt for Maximilian" is backed with lining and tunnel for easy hanging.
