Such are the things legends are made of. A legendary king, a beautiful queen and a handsome knight who’s in love with her. Whether King Arthur and Camelot are the things of fantasy or fact is uncertain even to this day, but its affect on literature, folklore and our vision of medieval life is hard to ignore. Here, King Arthur is immortalized in this delightful tapestry, entitled appropriately enough, “King Arthur”. He is pictured with Guinevere and Sir Lancelot. He is holding his trustworthy sword, Excalibur, meant only for a true king. For trivia buffs, Arthur’s shield is also shown. It was called Prydwen, and can be seen next to Guinevere with its distinctive three crowns. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
