This design of the immortal Tree of Life was created by Gustav Klimt in 1909. His works are iconic and are a huge influence on the Viennese Secession and Art Nouveau movement. His inspirations came from Egyptian, Classical Greek, Byzantine and Medieval styles, he was considered a forerunner of Modernism and the Art Deco movements. Here we see the tree of life with the iconic branches that Klimt is known for, set in a landscape of flowers and lakes with the sun in the low sky behind. His works evoke a fantasy or dreamlike state and the abundant tree of life fills the entire sky. This tapestry "Klimt Tree Of Life III" is lined, and has a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
