This Lady Godiva Courtyard tapestry shows the Lady Godiva with her husband Leofric, Earl of Mercia from the 11th century. The Lady Godiva was famous for her ride of her horse through the town of Coventry naked. Here in this scene we see her in the royal court in a white garment on a large white rug, symbolising purity and light, as she places one hand on her heartm and the other on the table in the great hall of the castle. Some dogs of the royal court are also seen here. The light illuminates the lady from one of the windows.Lady Godiva Courtyard tapestry is backed with a lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
