This Mucha Spring tapestry shows the wonderful image of the woman of Spring, or Spring personified by Alphonse Mucha, Czech artist (1860-1939). His works created a sensation as he developed his Parisian Art Nouveau style. She is holding a garland of flowers as she walks in the Spring landscape in a long flowing dress. His works are often of beautiful women in long garments walking in nature. Here the pink and peach colors of the background is a reminder of the Spring season, as are the leaves and flowers. The illustrative style of his art nouveau works is also seen in the green border of the work. This fine art tapestry "Mucha Spring I" is backed with a lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
