The town of Sarlat is depicted in this rustic tapestry. Sarlat is located in the Perigord Noir region of France. It was a medieval town which was centred around the large Benedictine abbey of Carolingian origin. The Sarlat Cathedral was dedicated to Saint Sacerdos of Limoges. This rustic scene shows the character of Sarlat well, with its homes in medium rise blocks and charming doors and windows and the distinct feeling of medieval Europe. It is considered one of the most attractive towns in the south west of France for this reason. This tapestry is backed with a lining and tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are not included in the price.
