This tapestry is based on an original thought to originate from the 15th century France. The original of this medieval tapestry hangs in the Cluny Museum in Paris. Here we see a scene of nobility in the forest exploring the woods with their hound. The mille fleur background of flowers and birds is typical of the style of the French tapestries of this time, to accompany the details in the foliage of the forest itself. This tapestry "Scenes Gallantes" is backed with lining and a tunnel for easy hanging.
