Ever wanted a famous Dutch painter's work to hang in your home? If so, then this tapestry 'Summer Flowers' may fulfil this role. This work is taken from the work of Jan Davidsz de Heem (1606-1684) a master Dutch painter who loved the subject of flowers. In this piece, we see a variety of blooms with their petals unfurling in a variety of reds, pinks, crimsons and surrounded by a wallpapered room with a window as a source of light into the scene. The boldness of the subject matter and the concentrated detail in each bloom is most striking in this piece. The style of de Heem has been described as Flemish Baroque and he produced many works in his life in Leiden, Antwerp and Flanders. This tapestry is backed with lining and tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
