This tapestry "The Regal Eagle" shows an American eagle in a night setting. The Bald Eagle, a type of Sea Eagle, is the American national bird and symbol. This eagle is beautiful in its white head and mane, the characteristic yellow hooked beak and the dark brown plumage that contasts with its white head and tail during flight. This bird is sacred in Native American cultures and is considered a messenger between heaven and earth by some cultures. In 1782 when the Continental Congress chose an emblem for the great seal of the United States, the design included the Bald Eagle grasping 13 arrows and olive branches between its talons. Here we see the regal eagle in a night light illuminated as it were by moonlight. This animal tapestry "The Regal Eagle" is backed with a lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
