This tapestry, showing the gathering of grapes and the use of the wine press, was thought to originate in the 15th century. It was probably woven in Tournai and the original of which hangs in the Cluny Museum in Paris. This remarkable tapestry shows a cohesive and delightful use of color perfectly balanced in its tones and shows a sense of movement that is sheer delight. The villagers are performing their roles in wine pressing, including the hint of a donkey among them. This medieval tapestry "The Vintage" is backed with lining and a tunnel for easy hanging.
