The Virgin II - Klimt tapestry is based on the painting by Gustav Klimt completed from 1913. This piece shows a surreal scene of women in entangled embraces. His work in this piece shows an incredible almost detached relationship with reality and represents the virgin with a scene of women and their gowns in an elaborate design dictated by fanciful design and geometric arrangement of his subjects in layers. His style has been called allegorical and symbolism and his favorite subjects are women and passion. Some even say this departure from realism reflects the modernization of society. His works include the Kiss, the Embrace and Tree of Life. The Virgin by Klimt tapestry is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rods and tassels, where pictured, are not included in the price.
