Tulipe - red

For centuries, the tulip has been revered for its beauty and expressive nature. A native of Persia and Turkey, it was actually imported to The Netherlands in the 16th century, even though Holland is thought to be the center of all things tulips. In fact, the very word tulip comes from the Persian word for turban. In “Tulipe red” the rich scarlet background and supporting palette really makes the two intertwined tulips jump out of the tapestry, which is woven in luxurious chenille.
