This "Unicorn Dips His Horn" tapestry shows the mysterious unicorn dipping his horn into the river to cleanse it. It is a scene from the series called the Hunt of the Unicorn from 1495-1505 to celebrate the marriage of Anne of Brittany to King Louis XII of France. There is a crowd of royal hunters gathering close to capture the elusive unicorn, in the woods, with other forest creatures decorating the scene, and watching as the huntsmen are approaching the unicorn. The fountain well is also an attraction for a pheasant as well as the village's source of water. In the history or legend of the unicorn, it is said that the horn cleanses the water of venom to enable other forest creatures to drink from it. This unicorn tapestry "Unicorn Dips His Horn" is unlined and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
