In this Venetian Gondolier Ii tapestry we see the famous Rialto Bridge of Venice. Here we see the grand architecture of this bridge which is one of four which spans the Grand Canal of Venice, and is the oldest of the bridges and divides San Marco from San Polo. It was built in 1181 and shows a distinctive Italian medieval and Renaissance architecture. This Venetian Gondolier tapestry is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging.
