This verdure tapestry 'Verdure Source & Chateau' is a detail from the larger panoramic 'Oudenaarde Verdure'. These tapestries are based on the original works from 1916 from the famous tapestry weavers of the Oudenaarde region of Belgium. This series of tapestries are inspired from the beautiful natural scenery of the Morlake region of Belgium. Here we see the details and colors of the foliage of the forest, with its various forms and shapes of foliage, as well as the river source, river stream and the chateau. The colors and shades reflects the light seen in early morning as the eyes pick up the greens, blues and golds of the natural landscape. The contours of the mountainside are also depicted with shades of this morning light apparent. This tapestry 'Verdure Source & Chateau' is backed with a lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
