In this tapestry "Verdure Source" we see the source of the river in the natural Belgian contryside. This tapestry is taken from the 'Oudenaarde Verdure' landscape tapestry. Here we see the details of the forest scene including the leaves and flora of the forest and the river with the hills and countains in the distance. The colors in this tapesty series are muted and cohesive to provide an atmosphere and the effect of drawing the eye in and stirring the imagination. The light is of that created by early morning. This tapestry series are pure delight and is based on the works from the famous Oudenaarde region of Belgium, from 1916 in the Morlake region. This beautiful region of Belgium provided the ideal inspiration for the creation od these verdure tapestries. This tapestry "Verdure Source" is backed with a lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
