The work of contemporary artist Riccardo Bianchi, “Vintage still life” looks as if it was painted hundreds of years ago. The subject matter is still life in the best Florentine traditions, as is the technique. It is a beautiful, rich piece of art that depicts a table filled with ripe fruits, accented with a pitcher and glass of white wine. Bianchi’s works are highly collectible because of their old-word charm and touching warmth. Perhaps that’s because still life paintings are usually associated with Northern European painters, and Bianchi has chosen to carry on with this tradition not only as a painter, but as a teacher as well. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
