This Winemarket tapestry or, Marche au vin, is based on works from the 15th century in Flanders. Here we see daily life in the medieval period of which wine and grapes harvest has been a most popular topic. It was perhaps their love of wine and the process of harvest and production, to produce something of beauty and high regard. The villagers and courtiers in their elaborate garments are seen with the castles in the distance. This Winemarket tapestry is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rods and tassels, where pictured, are not included in the price.
