This tapestry "Winter - Mucha" is based on the work of the famous art nouveau Czech artist Alphonse Mucha. He depicted the seasons in 1896 each personified by a woman. In this tapestry we see the winter season surrounded by branches covered with snow. Her flowing gown, a hallmark of his works, is covering her in a protective way, and the color palette is consistent with the rest of the Seasons's series but is more muted here in the season of winter. This art nouveau tapestry "Winter - Mucha" is backed with a lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
