This wonderful cushion cover shows the detail from William Morris's Woodpecker tapestry. Here we see the king Picus of Italy who has been turned into a woodpecker by a sorceress. It is based on a famous poem from Ovid's Metamorphoses, Book XIV. The original tapestry design was created by Morris in 1885. This William Morris cushion cover "Woodpecker" is backed with a lining and zipper. Note: infill not included.
