The Renaissance is one of the best known movements in the entire art history.

Filled with a most beautiful aesthetic and realism, which is a signature from that era, the works reflect the mastery of the artists of the time. The Renaissance began in Florence, Italy and influenced the whole of Europe, from the 14th to 17th century.

This was not just a time where art flourished and developed, it was also a time where science, philosophy and the whole of society evolved as well. It was a long spanning era where art influenced life and life influenced art. Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli and other masters influenced the possibilities of science with the imagination of their art, which stimulated the evolution of intellectual and scientific thinking as well as providing works of art for the sake of art itself.

Here we see a period of time which links the previous medieval period to the age of modern art. You can see a series of changes of thinking and expression through art and science epitomised by works such as Angels by Raffael and many more.
