Eurydice

A tapestry showing Eurydice the daughter of Apollo in Greek mythology. In the famous tale, Eurydice was the wife of Orpheus, who on their wedding day, played joyful songs for her as she danced across the meadows. Here we see her playing in the gardens near a fountain with her maidens. A verdure tapestry which at the same time depicts mythological figures has been a popular theme for tapestries for centuries.
