Falcon Hunt

With a theme that was made popular in the medieval period, this tapestry “Falcon Hunt” shows the medieval technique of hunting with falcons, or falconing. Here we see the nobility on horseback in the countryside, not far from the castle in the background practising this ancient sport. We see the elaborate and stylized medieval robes the courtiers are wearing including their head gear as they trek through the countryside. This tapestry “Falcon Hunt” is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging.
