February Botanical tapestry shows the flowers of late winter, from Robert Furber’s Twelve Months of Flowers from 1730. Each of the 12 months of the year is celebrated in this series, each month showing 30 species of flowers. Here we see the blooms of late winter including a red tulip which signifies the transition of winter to spring. These works of Furber are some of his most loved works, as they show superb botanical detail as well as pure artistry. Furber was a British horticulturist who cataloged and illustrated hundreds of species of plants, seeds and flowers, and this 12 month series, is his most famous work. February Botanical tapestry is unlined and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
