Garden Dance I

This tapestry “Garden Dance I” is based on the work of artist Don Li-Leger, contemporary artist in the style of Asian fusion. His works are distinguished by the elements of nature interposed with blocks of saturated color. Here in this Oriental wall hanging we see the bamboo featured as well as the blocks of color. Li-Leger is based in Vancouver and began his artistic career in realist nature painting, then progressing to abstract art, and since then has taken on an Asian influence in his work with geometric patterns. The resulting Asian fusion direction is really a fusion of his love of abstract art together with an Asian theme and his works have been exhibited in galleries across Canada. This tapestry is unlined and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
