Garennes Cushion Cover

The Garennes or rabbits Cusion Cover shows a detail of the rabbits from the Dame a La Licorne or Lady and the Unicorn series. This cushion cover is part of a set of the Lion II Cushion Cover, Unicorn II Cushion Cover, and The Lady Cushion Cover. The rabbits were seen among the depiction of the forest in the original medieval series of tapestries from the 16th century. Here we see the detail of the rabbits, and the mille fleur background motifs, based on the originals which are now in the Cluny Museum in Paris. The Garennes Cushion Cover is backed with a lining and has a zipper. Infill is not included.
