Here we see Hygeia by Klimt, the daughter of the god of medicine, and represents health. She has an Aesculapian snake around her right arm, and the cup of Lethe in her left hand. Her sisters included Panakeia (All-Cure) and Iaso (Remedy). Here we see the distinctive style of Klimt, with his extravagant use of color and geometric design in combination with is favorite subject of women including mythological women. The ancient mythological gods and goddesses are transformed into his distinctive style in the Vienna Secession movement. This art tapestry is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging.
