Iris Gate

The works of Jon McNaughton presents us with scenes which evoke a unique light and feel, and this tapestry is no exception. In this tapestry, the scene is of a gate to a family homestead beside a fence strewn with ethereal licac colored irises. The sun peering though diffusely through the clouds in the sky evokes a mysterious feeling in the air. The use of color is almost impressionistic in this work, and is dreamy as much as representative of life in the countryside. This tapestry "Irisi Gate" is unlined and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
