The Knights Of Christ (no border) – van Eyck tapestry shows a section from the epic Ghent Altarpiece, painted by Jan and Hubert van Eyck from 1432. In this panel we see medieval knights in their armor, flags and regalia on horseback. The forest behind is beautiful in its rendition with the tower of the castle in the background. The use of color and composition is incredible in this work which shows the craftsmanship of the van Eyck brothers. Judges and knights approach the scene of the Adoration of the lamb in the next panel. This Knights of Christ tapestry is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging.
