Mucha Spring I

This Mucha Spring tapestry shows the wonderful image of the woman of Spring, or Spring personified by Alphonse Mucha, Czech artist (1860-1939). His works created a sensation as he developed his Parisian Art Nouveau style. She is holding a garland of flowers as she walks in the Spring landscape in a long flowing dress. His works are often of beautiful women in long garments walking in nature. Here the pink and peach colors of the background is a reminder of the Spring season, as are the leaves and flowers.
