Orchid Nine Patch

Filled with Oriental inspirations, as well as his individual tendencies for abstract art, this tapestry “Orchid Nine Patch” is based on an artwork of Li-Leger. His works are described as a fusion of Asian and modern, of floral and abstract. Here, we see pink white orchids peeking through blocks of color, from the more prominent orchids int he center pane to the more hidden in the mist in the upper and left panes. Bamboo foliage completes the Asian influence and of course we see small blocks of cubes only noticed after a while of gazing into the image. This tapestry “Orchid Nine Patch” is unlined and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
