The Heaume

The Heaume tapestry shows the royal or family crest of the Nagera family from Bruges in the 16th century. Here we see the central shield of three fleur de lis motifs surrounded by acanthus style leaves in a variety of colors from yellow golds to reds and blues. A fleur de lis and feathers peaks up through the leaves at the top. An ornate golden border completes the work. The Heaume tapestry is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging.
